Do you like listening to audiobooks? Are you a huge Alexa fan? You can certainly use Alexa to listen to audiobooks. Are you, however, able to locate a free Audible alternative? If you like listening to audiobooks, Libby may be a better option. Libby doesn’t offer any podcasts, but it does have a lot of audiobooks.
You can listen to Libby audiobooks; however, can you choose which audiobooks to play on Alexa? While using an Alexa device, it would be good if you could play an audiobook instead of listening to music so that you could listen to it while you were doing your regular duties. You will be able to read more books than you would otherwise be able to. When this happens, the issue of whether or not you can play Libby audiobooks on Alexa arises. Alexa does not support the playback of audiobooks, such as those from Audible.
You can ask Alexa to play your audiobook if you have an Audible subscription. With the Libby audiobook, you will be unable to do so. However, there is a completely effective workaround. - Install the Libby application on your mobile device.
- Open the Bluetooth on the mobile device mentioned above.
- Now is the right time to download and launch the Alexa app on your mobile device.

- Choose your Alexa device from the drop-down menu.
- ‘Bluetooth devices’ should be selected first, followed by ‘Pair a New Device.’

Now, find the audiobook on Libby that you want to listen to and click on it. The audiobook will start playing as soon as you open the book, and the sound will come through the Alexa speaker. The only difference between connecting it through Bluetooth and connecting it via USB is that Alexa will not listen to audiobook voice instructions. Unlike Audible, Alexa does not allow you to stop or resume your audiobook listening session. It will not be possible to use commands such as “Alexa, play/pause on audiobook on Libby.”
